    1.  TERMS

      • The Department of Design of Electronic Computing Equipment (hereinafter referred to as the Department) is the basic structural unit of the University and the Faculty of Electronics, which conducts educational, methodical and scientific activities in a particular specialty (specialization) or inter-branch group of specialties.

      • The department is created on condition that it consists of not less than five scientific-pedagogical workers, for whom the department is the main place of work, and not less than three of them have a scientific degree or an honorary degree. The decision to create the department is made by the Academic Council of the University. Based on this decision, the Rector issues an order to establish the department.

      • The department is part of the Faculty of Electronics. The staff of the department consists of scientific, scientific-pedagogical, engineering and technical workers, teaching and support staff, doctoral students, graduate students.

      • The staff list of the department is approved by the Rector of the University upon the submission of the Dean of the Faculty of Electronics.

      • In its activity the department is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, laws and other normative legal acts of Ukraine, the Statute of NTUU "KPI", the Rules of Internal Procedure of NTUU "KPI" and this Regulation.

      • Issues which are not reflected in the Regulation shall be resolved by the Rector in accordance with specific circumstances in accordance with applicable law.


    2. MAIN TASKS OF THE CHAIR

      • Provision of educational process in accordance with the standards of education for the acquisition of students of higher education. Carrying out a high level of educational activity, which ensures the acquisition of higher education of the appropriate degree in the chosen specialties.

      • Provision of practical training for university students through their internships at enterprises, institutions and organizations in accordance with agreements concluded by the university or in its structural units providing practical training.

      • Carrying out educational, scientific, innovative, international and other activities.

      • Ensuring creative activity of participants in the educational process. Preserving and enhancing the moral, cultural, scientific values ​​and achievements of society.

      • Establishment of international relations in carrying out the international activities of the University in the field of education, science, sports, arts and culture.

      • Provision of training of postgraduate and doctoral students and specialists of innovative type, formation of modern scientific personnel potential, capable to provide development and implementation of innovative scientific developments.

      • Development of textbooks, manuals and scientific works, methodological and other publications on the department's work profile and ensuring the academic presence of the department on the global Internet.

      • Organization of training and advanced training of scientific-pedagogical and scientific workers of the department.

      • The activity of the department is carried out on the basis of the annual plan of work of the department, covering the directions and tasks specified in this Regulation. The work plan of the department is discussed and approved at its meeting.

      • The main tasks of the department are discussed at the meeting of the department. Decisions made at a meeting of the department are binding on its employees. Meetings of the department are held at least once a month. Scientific-pedagogical and scientific workers of the department take part in the meeting of the department. A meeting of the department is considered valid if it is attended by at least two-thirds of scientific-pedagogical and scientific workers for whom the department is the main place of work. The decisions of the department are made by a simple majority of votes present at the meeting of the department. During the meeting of the department a protocol is kept, which is signed by the head of the department (his deputy) and the secretary of the department. Other persons may be invited to the meeting.

      In the field of educational process:



      • ensuring the conduct of educational classes, implementation of control measures in the academic disciplines of the department in accordance with the standards of higher education and regulations on the organization of the educational process, curriculum and programs of educational disciplines;

      • submission of proposals to the dean of the Faculty of Electronics regarding the formation of the schedule of training classes

      • ensuring practical training of students in the specialties of the department;

      • arranging contracts to provide practical training for students;

      • preparation of students for participation in competitions;

      • attestation of students in the specialties of the department, ensuring the effective work of the respective examination commissions;

      • organization and conduct of entrance examinations and additional entrance examinations for the second level of higher education for the master's degree;

      • appointment and organization of work of academic group supervisors;

      • participation in entrance examinations for the third level of higher education for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.In the field of methodical activity:





      • development of a sequence of study of disciplines (structural-logical schemes), educational and working curricula in the specialties of the department;

      • development of programs of educational disciplines of the department, programs of practical training;

      • development of subjects of individual tasks and certification works for obtaining in accordance with the degree of higher education;

      • creation of textbooks, manuals, other educational and methodical publications in the disciplines of the department;

      • development of means of assessment of students 'competences acquired in the process of learning and criteria of such assessment, rating systems of students' knowledge assessment

      • review and examination of educational and methodological publications in the disciplines of the department;

      • organizing and conducting methodological, scientific and methodological seminars of the department;

      • providing guidance, reviewing, advising on certification work for the degree of higher education;

      • development of educational (educational-professional and educational-scientific) programs in the specialties of the department;

      • participation in the development of information packages of the Faculty of Electronics, which includes the department.


                     In the field of scientific and innovative activity:




      • providing high-efficiency scientific and innovative activity of the department through conducting scientific and pedagogical staff, doctoral students, postgraduate students and students of the department and employees of scientific departments that are part of the Faculty of Electronics and the Research Institute of Applied Electronics, research in approved directions , directions of innovative activity;

      • organization of training of scientific staff of higher qualification in fundamental, natural and engineering directions with involvement of leading undergraduate and graduate students of leading scientists of the university and academic institutes;

      • strengthening the research component in the curricula for masters and involving them in the implementation of research and development;

      • participation in the development of innovative structures on the basis of the university (scientific park, technopark, business incubators) in the priority scientific directions of the department;

      • implementation of measures on creation of objects of intellectual property rights and protection of intellectual property rights, as well as transfer of technologies, in particular through the innovative environment of the Science park "Kyiv Polytechnic", and implementation of license agreements;

      • implementation of international scientific projects and programs, grants, contracts commissioned by foreign organizations and companies;

      • implementation of organizational and methodological measures in order to increase the citation of scientific works of the staff of the department, expand the presence of their scientific publications in journals and conference materials included in international scientometric databases (Scopus, Web of Science, etc.).


                        In the field of organizational activity:




      • submission of proposals on the formation of staff and staffing;

      • organization of quality control of training, practical training of students;

      • establishing and maintaining links with the University's structural units and other organizations;

      • assistance in improving the qualification of scientific and pedagogical staff of the department and employment of employees;

      • organization of activities on vocational guidance and involvement of persons in training in the specialties of the department;

      • preparation of the necessary documents for licensing and accreditation within the specialties of the department;

      • organization of work on creation and maintenance of the official site of the department (3-5 interesting materials per week, targeted at the target audience) and information and telecommunication system "Electronic campus" in accordance with the Regulations on the typical site of the NTUU "KPI" department;

      • providing information on the results of the activity of the department;

      • ensuring participation of the employees of the department in the work of expert councils, commissions, groups of MES of Ukraine, specialized scientific councils;

      • document management and transfer of documents for archival storage;

      • determining the rating of scientific and pedagogical staff of the department;

      • creation and maintenance of information and communication resources in the domain zone. ia University.


                        In the field of international activity:




      • preparation (jointly with the LCA) of draft agreements on cooperation with departments of foreign universities and organization of their implementation;

      • initiation, holding, formation of the program of international conferences and seminars at the level of department, faculty and university;

      • preparation of project proposals for participation in international competitions, programs, funds, grants;

      • participation in international research and publication in international publications;

      • delegation of employees for participation in international conferences, seminars, competitions, exhibitions;

      • providing training for foreign students;

      • development of academic mobility through participation in international programs and projects;

      • submitting proposals for the creation of joint structures with foreign partners (laboratories, centers, scientific groups, editorial teams, consortia, etc.);

      • ensuring the participation of employees of the department in international professional organizations (electricians and other similar professional associations);

      • coverage of the results of educational and scientific activities of the department in English.



    1. DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT BODIES




      • The department is managed by the head of the department, who cannot be in office for more than two terms.

      • The head of the department must have a scientific degree and / or academic (honorary) title in accordance with the profile of the department.

      • The head of the department is elected by secret ballot by the Academic Council of the University for a term of five years, taking into account the proposals of the department's labor collective. The Rector of the University enters into a contract with the Head of the Department.

      • The head of the department provides organization of the educational process, implementation of curricula and programs of educational disciplines, exercises control over the quality of teaching of educational disciplines, educational-methodical and scientific activity of teachers.

      • The head of the department ensures the fulfillment of the functions of the department and the execution of orders, orders and orders of the rector, dean, creation in cyberspace (global Internet network) of the overall positive image of the department as a unit of the university, able to compete in the international market of educational and scientific services.

      • The head of the department is subordinate to the dean of the Faculty of Electronics and acts on the basis of the job description and contract conditions.

      • In accordance with the Regulations on the scientific supervisor of the department (institute, faculty, department), a scientific supervisor and scientific advisor may be elected at the department.

      • The department is financed within the limits of the Faculty of Electronics. Organizational support of the financial, economic and scientific activities of the department can be carried out through the relevant units at the level of the Faculty of Electronics and the Research Institute of Applied Electronics.



    1. TERMINATION OF THE DEPARTMENT'S ACTIVITIES




      • Termination of activity of the department is carried out by its reorganization or liquidation.

      • The activity of the department is terminated by the order of the rector in the order and under the conditions stipulated by the Statute of NTUU "KPI" and the current legislation of Ukraine, at the decision of the Academic Council of the University.
